Prologue
I am missing so many food related entries & updates, which I am in the process of completing or writing; I've just been immensely occupied recently.

Late one afternoon, as I was leaving our office on 21st and 6th I came upon a head-lifting aroma - the smell of fresh baked goodies. Now, I've come to know those streets in the lower twenties really well and I know for a fact that there wasn't a bakery that could produce such a mouth-watering scent.
Then I came upon this a truck and a small gathering of 5: 2 mothers each with strollers where A was delightfully chomping away on a cookie and B was hysterically trying to stop her friend because she had prepared an elaborate feast for dinner; 2 office men debating whether to get "the usual" or try something new; and two curious passerby-s, one of which was yours truly. I picked up bits from a sampling tray and was instantly hooked. I later order that very cookie - the caramel creme sandwich - and the
Treat Truck's rendition of the famous American cookie - the Oreo.
While we went hunting for an intricate pendant and necklace for D, who was gifting it to his girlfriend of one year as an anniversary present, I slyly removed the package from my bag and noshed on bits of the treat while eying sparkling gems in the window displays... reminiscent of the iconic scene in Breakfast at Tiffany's, save that I was a lot less fashionable then Holly Golightly.
I love Trucks filled with yummy goodies. First there was the
Dessert Truck and now the
Treats Truck.
While it may not be as brilliant as Creme Brulee made with real Madagascar vanilla beans from the Dessert Truck, I still like the idea of an impromptu treat from a truck that just happened to be stopping a particular spot in which I pass through. Next time, if I run into the truck again I'll try one of their brownies or bars.....

nice site
yum dessert! nice shorts.
ooooh, I've actually thought about having one of those rather than having such a large overhead with having an actual bakery. At the moment, I rent a commercial kitchen hourly
i love your pictures of audrey hepburn....btw, the idea of dessert truck sounds amazing!
i could sure use a dessert RIGHT NOW.
do you know any where good to get dim sum? in the city
@coder88 - Golden Bridge is quite a scene if you miss the HK dim sum scene. Ping and Chathem Square restaurant are less crowded but the variety is significantly less. Never the less if you just want the basics that should suffice. (These places are all in chinatown, if you want something in uptown... well, that just opens up a whole new can of worms. Are you looking for something classy and overprice? or dirty and cheap, if you will.)
@sanouk - You should definitely think about doing something like that. It is a rather good option for starter businesses.
@lil_vengee - We shall go next time around. It will be our thing. lol
i think someone in my area already beat me to it. will definitely do my research =)
@catch_MOI_attention -
I was looking for something classy and overpriced, actually - sry, didn't see your reply until now
