Touch. ME (what do you use on your hands?)
Has anyone stopped to think about their pair of hands today? I did... I do, I curse it everytime I walk out of my front door because it feels so dry and paper-y, cringing at the mess around my finger nails that we call cuticles and cursing (no profanity) yet again... this time myself, for forgetting to put on lotion. I must have handled a hundred things before I left the apartment, yet I always manage to forget my hands. Finally I couldn't stand it anymore. When I went to visit Duckie, I also perused the pharmacy for some hand cream, one that hopefully won't leave my hands oily and slippery for two hours, yet rich enough to be effective against my dry neglected hands. I piled on to the counter an additional tube of Aveeno Body Lotion, Dr Schools heel liners, and Neutrogena - Norwegian Formula Hand Cream. I figured it was cold enough in Norway and people there must know how to keep their hands from chapping.
Armed with my new hand cream, I eagerly cracked open the box and squeezed a pinky-nail size worth of cream on to my palms. My heart SANK at the sight of the clear formula and I thought for sure it's going to be VASELINE--GREASY. Half heartedly, I spread it over my palms and gently rubbed it all over giving every inch of my hands from wrist down a nice coating. It felt GREASY... at first, within a minute it was absorbed into my skin and I totally forgot about it!!! Except the fact that my hands didn't feel paper-y when I left the house.
The next day I decided to rub some on my heels and it worked it's miracle on my feet too. Now I have smooth hands AND feet!.They have a formula especially for feet so I'm going to ask Duckie to pick it up at the pharmacy, it pays to have the bf work there. Aisles and Aisles of the good stuff.
The three early morning essentials - Coffee to wake me up, Phone to make sure I get where I need to be ontime and Hand Cream.
What are your daily essentials? What can't you leave the house without? WHAT DO YOU USE ON YOUR HANDS?

bliss high intensity hand cream--AMAZING! leaves hands soft and doesn't smell like fruit or flowers, so you can put it on the bf's hands too without having him protest--bc who wants to hold rough hands?!
thanks for the comment btw...and all the beauty tips
Glysomede Hand Cream is my saviour.
Hey i have the same hand cream but I haven't gotten to using it.
Usually I just remember to feed the bastids a snack before i leave... they've come to expect a snack a day.
weleda skin food. Â
My hands are ALWAYS dry! I dont really have any specific brand I use. I just use whatever I have around. I should try that
Haha I gotta get me one of those.
yeah. its such a shame that it was the first relationship she was in, too. Hope she doesnt get jaded too soon.
I dont think i could ever walk out of my house without my phone, my mp3 player, and a bottle of water. i'd be lost all day without them.
you should try the CONCENTRATED version!! it is ALOT better!! lol
My skin gets really dry (and itchy!) when the weather gets cold. I usually over-mosturize myself with body lotion from Bath & Body Works but the scent can sometimes be overwhelming. I'm gonna give Neutrogena a try.
=]
kiehl's hand cream is fabulous and non-smelly.
I swear by Glysomed (the little green tube I wrote about not long ago) - it doesn't feel as thick as Neutrogena but it moisturizes very very well.
I can't leave the house without atleast underwear on. Got myself a nice ticket the last time I forgot about that one ^.^"
natural lubricant...
I use Kiehl's Creme de Corps and Ultimate Strength Hand Salve in the winter.
I swear by Neutrogena Norwegian hand cream too, been using it for years =). Good choice!
I have a whole list of things I need before stepping out of the door in the morning... I've been called a "bag lady" many times =P.
i use crabtree and evelyn's gardener's therapy.. and it smells like a blooming garden! hahaha.. but I'm kinda lazy and forgetful so a tube lasts me a pretty long time! :)
my goodness, at first. i thought that coffee cup was your arm w/ a huge tattoo on it. i need to get some sleep, haha!
my hands are so gross right now. so dry~ i have rashes on each hand.. & it's pretty painful =(
hey girlie, thanks for the comment :)
oh and ps: I swear by GLYSOMED and L'occitaine!
i don't use anything. i need to start though, the skin on my hands are like a barren desert.
i feel the same way each morning when I look at my hands, especially my cuticles and notice how dry they are! Since I was in a rush and had already tried applying 2 coats of lotion which did not work, I used my vaseline! I usually have a lil circular case in my purse for my lips, but vaseline is great for dry skin! It totally took the scales off! and even as I am typing at this moment, the dry white crust has not come back!
I swear by Neutrogena Norwegian Formula hand cream also but the fragrance-free formula. I love how you only need such a tiny amount to get the softest hand in the world. My boyfriend always makes comments on how soft my hands are. He also likes it when I give him little hand massages with it also. So I have soft hands to hold. yay! :P
I cannot leave the house with out my iPod touch,
wallet, the hand cream, and my sunglasses. :)
